There will be slight to moderate swelling that subsides in a few days. Bruising is possible but is very rare. You may experience tenderness and a darker color than desired for the first six to ten days. Unless you have a vacation, special event, or photographs scheduled you should be just fine going about your normal daily activities such as work or school.

How long does the procedure take?

The initial visit for a procedure can take 2-3 hours. There is paperwork to be filled out, medical history to be discussed, photographs to take, shape and color to discuss, the procedure, and after care instructions. Touch ups usually require less time.

How long does permanent cosmetics last?

The procedures are considered permanent because pigment is tattooed into the skin and cannot be washed off. However, as with all tattoos, fading can and often does occur, requiring maintenance color refreshers called touch ups.
